Exhibition Statement (provided by the artists)
Emma and Ryan have collaborated long distance to create the ideas and themes presented at Welcome Gallery. The artists have bonded over a mutual interest in children’s artwork, storybook illustrations and craft/activity books. Look, Make & Do features artwork created individually by the two artists, as well as gallery specific mural installations including work created by local elementary students and participating visitors. The collages, drawings and paintings share common themes and subjects representing the natural world, everyday objects and the magic of creativity.
