Arts Consulting
New City Arts offers consulting services to businesses and organizations with facilities where they are interested in creating rotating exhibitions, purchasing artwork for their permanent collection, licensing and reproducing artwork for their space, or launching open calls to commission artists for new works.
We welcome inquiries from project partners who align with our mission to support Charlottesville-area artists with financial resources. Consulting fees support New City Arts’ creative programming for Charlottesville-area artists year-round.
What We Do
Through our day-to-day programs, our staff have gained valuable knowledge and experience working with Charlottesville-area artists as they realize exhibitions and create work as resident artists or artist fellows.
In 2018, we launched pilot consulting services to expand our work to include facility consultation for libraries, hotels, restaurants, and hospitality spaces who would like to feature Charlottesville-area artists in their space through rotating exhibitions or permanent collections. Over the last 5 years, New City Arts’ consulting services has generated $147,251 support for 45 Charlottesville-area artists.
Our priorities include financial support for local artists and working with project partners to create long-term solutions for procuring and displaying work in their spaces.
