Community Printmaking with Amos Paul Kennedy Jr.

Make your own letterpress print with Amos Paul Kennedy Jr. on a small mobile press at New City Arts' Welcome Gallery on Thursday, March 21 from 11AM-1PM.

An image of Amos Paul Kennedy Jr.'s hands while he works in his printmaking studio. He is wearing a long-sleeved pink shirt and lifts a fresh print from a large metal press.

In partnership with Second Street Gallery and The Virginia Center for the Book (a program of Virginia Humanities), New City Arts invites guests of all ages to “drop in” and make a letterpress print with Detroit-based artist Amos Paul Kennedy Jr.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration not required. Kennedy is the Center's inaugural Frank Riccio Artist in Residence. This residency concludes with the 25th annual Virginia Festival of the Book, during which hands-on workshops with Kennedy will be offered.
