Tia Nichols is a fourth year majoring in Studio Art with a concentration in Printmaking.
Her minor is in Deaf Studies and American Sign Language (ASL) where she wishes to combine visual art, psycholinguistics, and sign language to work with children and adolescents with social, psychological, and communication disorders through Art Therapy. In the past Tia has used her art to document and narrate several events and moments throughout the community. She has photographed and video recorded for student organizations such as Student Council, College Council, Black Student Alliance, Black College Women, and Arts Mentors. Ultimately, Tia desires to impact young lives with "Artivism", activism through the arts! She plans to professionally practice art making, collaborate with others, and build up a portfolio focusing on minority, women's, environmental, and animal rights to entice, entertain, and educate broader audiences.
