Juried Show: Neighbors

Join New City Arts at the WVTF & Radio IQ Studio Gallery on April 7, 2017 from 5:00-7:00PM for an opening reception for Neighbors, featuring work by 18 Charlottesville artists at The WVTF and Radio IQ Studio Gallery, in partnership with the UVA Institute for the Humanities & Global Cultures' Humanities Week and UVA Arts. Artists include Rosamond Casey, Zoe Cohen, Charlene Cross, Brittany Fan, Aaron Farrington, Kirsten Hemrich, Kim Kelley-Wagner, Lana Lambert, Joanna Mullen, Chicho Lorenzo, Aidyn Mills, Tim Michel, Sarah Miller, Tobiah Mundt, Charles Peale, Laura Snyder, Ryan Trott and Laura Wooten.

 
"Spudnuts" by Lana Lambert and Joannna Mullen is a photorealistic black-and-white image of a donut shop with a sign that reads "Spudnut Coffee Shop." A bright pink donut balloon is attached to the roof by two figures as it rains rainbow sprinkles.

This opening is part of Charlottesville’s First Friday Art Walk. The event is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome.
