Katie Schetlick

Artist Interview, Featured Artist, Makers Series Featured Artist

Katie Schetlick engages dance as a mode(s) of being, an historical object, a process of joyous unproductivity, a potentially subversive and controlling apparatus all at once. From extended walking scores and durational practices to installations and choreographed theatrical experiences, Katie’s dances appear in various forms. At the center (and edges) of her work is the unraveling of Enlightenment's “human”.
