Ceejay Renner-Thomas is a teacher and artist who is making glassblowing more accessible to the Charlottesville community. Originally from Roanoke, VA, he studied Craft & Material Studies at VCUarts before calling Charlottesville home. It’s here that he had developed his passion for craft using contemporary, historic and ancient techniques as they relate to modernity and pop culture. This past February, he received the largest New City Arts SOUP grant to make glassblowing more accessible through his mobile glassblowing studio, Milk Glass.
