Exhibition Opening for Diaspograms: The Symbology of Black Life

Join us for an exhibition opening on April 1, 2022 from 5:00-7:30PM for Diaspograms: The Symbology of Black Life, a solo exhibition by Kweisi Morris at Welcome Gallery featuring work he created during the New City Arts Fellowship.

This opening is part of Charlottesville’s First Friday Art Walk. The event is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome.

This exhibition is supported by an Enriching Communities grant from the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation and Maurice Wallace and Pam Sutton-Wallace. Kweisi is the Sutton-Wallace Family Fellow at New City Arts.

Located at 114 3rd St. NE, Welcome Gallery is downtown, storefront art space in Charlottesville, VA, run by New City Arts Initiative, a non-profit community arts organization. This same location houses NCAI staff offices and a studio space.
