This May marks 11 years since New City Arts opened our first exhibition. With your generous support, we've grown a lot over the last 11 years. This spring, we need your help to raise $11,000 on our Day of Giving (May 11, 2021) to support our programs for local artists like Welcome Gallery, Charlottesville SOUP, the New City Artist Exchange, and more. 100% of New City Arts events and programs are free or low-cost.

Thanks to the generosity of community partners, check out our Day of Giving Raffles. Anyone who gives to New City Arts on May 11 will be automatically entered** into a drawing based on your gift amount. You will be entered into the raffle for the giving level associated with your donation and the raffle levels up-to the amount of your gift. We'll choose 1 winner per raffle category the day following the event.
Raffle Prizes
Give $15+ You're entered to win a *surprise print* from the New City Arts collection of prints from previous events at Welcome Gallery.
Give $30+ You're entered to win a Lowland Hum send-a-song. Lowland Hum will write, perform, and record a video of the performance from the winner to a friend, a pet, a teacher, a stranger, etc. to celebrate a birthday, a special occasion, or really anything.
Give $60+ You're entered to win a custom 8” three layer cake by Bowerbird Bakeshop. The raffle winner picks all the flavors and/or vision, and the wizard bakers at Bowerbird create it. No idea is too far fetched (they hope).
Give $150+ Market Street Wine co-owners, Siân Richards and Thadd McQuade, will hand-select 3-4 bottles for one raffle winner based on your favorite artists. Note: The item will be received as a gift card to cover the wines and curation services, and the winner will be put in touch with Siân and Thadd to make wine selections.
Give $250+ You're entered to win a 30-min photography session (family portraits, headshots, engagement photos, etc) with Charlottesville photographer, Ézé Amos. Note: This item cannot be redeemed for event photography.
Give $500+ You're entered to win a virtual wine tasting with Market Street Wine for up to 12 people (i.e., the winner and up to 11 of their friends and/or family members). Each wine will be paired with artwork by a Charlottesville-area artist. Note: The item will be received as a gift card to cover the wines and must be redeemed by September 1, 2021.
Give $750+ You're entered to win a free year of Ting Internet (May 2021-April 2022). The winner can be an existing customer or a new customer who lives at a serviceable address.
Give $1,000+ You're entered to win a set of 10 original artworks by Amanda Wagstaff, April Sanders, Hank Ehrenfried, Laura Wooten, Lisa Ryan, Lou Haney, Nina Thomas, Sandy Williams IV, Steve Taylor, and Warren Craghead created for the New City Artist Exchange.
