Exhibition Opening for The Stories Beneath

Join New City Arts at the WVTF & Radio IQ Studio Gallery on October 4, 2013, from 5:00-7:00 PM for an opening reception for Food: the Stories Beneath, new photography by Charlottesville artist Jill Bascom.

 
A detail of a photographic print on canvas entitled "Celery." The base of a bunch of celery to reveal the sliced surfaces of individual stalks. Layers of celery emerge from the center creating a rosette, there is a reflection cast on the steel table.

This opening is part of Charlottesville’s First Friday Art Walk. The event is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome.
