December New City Arts and Crafts
You're invited to New City Arts and Crafts, a monthly drop-in event for parents and kids at Welcome Gallery. This month's event will be held on Friday, December 15 from 10am-11am featuring Grit coffee and snacks (for adults and kids), Tattly temporary tattoos (for adults and kids), and an ornament-making activity inspired by Kirsten Hemrich's Transient Places.
10-10:15 AM: Get settled, get coffee, get a snack, and put on a temporary tattoo.
10:15-10:45 AM: Together, we'll make house ornaments complete with a picture of your family!
10:45-11 AM: Circle up for reading time
We can adapt this activity for ages 2-5, though younger children (including babies) are also welcome to attend.
New City Arts and Crafts is an opportunity for you to see the exhibit while meeting other families in the community and providing a creative outlet for kids, all over a morning cup of Grit coffee. Staff will be on site, but you are responsible for any guests or children you may bring.
RSVP is required due to limited space. To cover the costs of the materials, a $5 donation per ornament is required at the door or online in advance. Families with multiple children can choose to make individual ornaments or one ornament together.
To RSVP, email lindsey@newcityarts.org with the number of adults and kids attending.
New City Arts and Crafts is sponsored by Tattly and Grit Coffee.
