I am a painter and photographer. My work wanders between abstraction and realism, and often between landscape and documentation. Since moving to Scotland in 2018 I have been working on a series of abstracts that use traditional Scottish tartan patterns/colours as a starting point, and also a series of local landscapes using more traditional painting techniques. I think this is all part of trying to settle into a new place/space, and also trying to figure out what I really want to paint - that seems to be a constant journey, and I’m OK with that.
