Exhibition Statement (provided by the artists)

Dean Dass is Associate Chair for Studio Art in the UVa McIntire Department of Art and recently had a large retrospective of his work at Les Yeux du Monde and Second Street Gallery. Adam Wolpa is Associate Professor of Art at Calvin College, an artist, and a UVa alum. Kate Daughdrill is a Detroit-based artist, and co-founder of The Garage and Detroit SOUPGreg Kelly is an artist and Director and co-founder of The Bridge PAISteve Taylor is an artist and Director of Second Street Gallery.

These presenters are going to be addressing the evolving landscape in which the artist works at the New City Arts Forum on April 20-22, 2012 in Charlottesville. These artists inhabit this landscape, and in some cases, actually deal with the literal site and space around us.
