Makers Series
Matt Joslyn is a producer, arts administrator, fundraiser and the Executive Director of the groundbreaking Tectonic Theater Project, the NYC-based company founded and guided by Artistic Director Moisés Kaufman, that develops new plays using the company's trademarked theater-making method, Moment Work, and through a rigorous process of research and collaboration in a laboratory environment. Notable projects since his tenure began in 2016 include Laramie: A Legacy, a benefit for the Matthew Shepard Foundation, the Off-Broadway premiere of Uncommon Sense, Seven Deadly Sins, an outdoor immersive production of seven world-premiere short plays in NYC's Meatpacking District, and the award-winning new play Here There Are Blueberries, premiering at La Jolla Playhouse in the summer of 2022. Previously, Joslyn served as Executive Director of organizations including Live Arts in Charlottesville, VA; the Renaissance Performing Arts Association and the State Theater of Ithaca and as the Director of Education and Marketing at the The Sandusky State Theatre, exhibit director of COSI Columbus, and the Director of Education at Columbus Children's Theatre. He is a graduate of Cornell University (AB), received his Master of Fine Arts degree from Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Play House and is a graduate of the Leadership Development Institute at Eckerd College.
