Chrissy Baucom

Chrissy Baucom received a BFA in Painting from SUNY Purchase in 1990. She is the recipient of a professional fellowship from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and has been awarded numerous residencies including the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, NES Artist Residency in Iceland, and the Kökar Residency in Finland. Her work has been exhibited in New York, Virginia and Iceland and will appear in the next issue of Studio Visit Magazine. Her current paintings deal with the journey of the Endurance and the “golden age” of polar exploration. She lives in Richmond, VA with her husband and son and one regal beagle.
