Jen Deibert is proud to be a self taught artist, born with a curiosity for and fascination with how things are made.
“Looking back, I think it was always more than the wondering of how a thing is literally built, but also an inner push to know WHY and for what purpose on earth we and all the things we love are here. My work is laced with these eternal questions because it's what motivates me to create in the first place. I freely explore my spiritual side and because of this, I feel a growth/change that is also represented in my work, almost on a regular basis. Whatever I'm doing right now, I can't promise I'll be doing in six months but I can promise the the message will be the same. I hope there is an underlying sense of irreverence detected in everything I make, I'd hate to think of anything I'm ever attached to as being too fancy or fussy or perfect. Finding immense beauty in the imperfectness of it all is something I am grateful to have been born with and sometimes my sole intent is to create the most beautiful imperfect thing to prove this true. I am inspired by nature, color, gratitude and love, and my fingerprints are all over everything I make purposely. Like a message in a bottle, I am leaving evidence of my voice here on earth that will hopefully be around for a very long time.”
