Grace Aheron

Grace Aheron is a multiracial, queer Asian American woman raised in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. She is an antiracist organizer, writer, and liturgist. In 2015, she co-founded a radical Christian community- Charis- in Charlottesville, Virginia that carried her and other activists through the violence of the white supremacist attacks of 2017. In 2016 and 2017, Grace worked as a lead organizer with the Carnival de Resistance, a Christian anarchist carnival residency that weaves together faith, art, and justice. She currently works as the Communications Director at Showing Up for Racial Justice, a national grassroots organization that mobilizes white communities to fight racism. She lives in Charlottesville and can often be found at the Rivanna River, in bakeries or gathering friends for group singing under the full moon.
