Eboni Bugg

Eboni Bugg is an emerging writer, gardener, and culinary artist based in Charlottesville, Virginia. Her work focuses on the relationship between people and their natural, social, and built environments. She received a BA in Biology and African American Studies from the University of Virginia focusing on diasporic art and literature. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the desire to heal through narrative change is the galvanizing ethos behind her creative process.

During her 2024 New City Arts Fellowship, Eboni will make a food zine and installation that features poetry, essay, collage, and recipes using heirloom crops that traveled from the African continent and across the diaspora.
