Anna Bryant lives and works on a historic farm in Keswick, Virginia, and paints the local landscape as well as seascapes and cityscapes found on road trips with her husband and three young children. Favorite locations include Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park, the Outerbanks of North Carolina, and New York City's Central Park. While her work is representational, she is inspired by the abstract expressionists and seeks to capture the sense of a place through loose, lively, and highly textured brushwork.
