Monthly Artist Talks: In conjunction with New City Arts gallery and studio programs, exhibiting artists and artists-in-residence regularly host public talks about their work. New City Arts is also a community partner for CreativeMornings, a monthly breakfast lecture series featuring Charlottesville-area artists.

Guest Artist Lectures: New City Arts occasionally hosts presentations by national or international artists. Previous events have included workshops and talks with Amos Paul Kennedy, Jr., The Henningham Family Press, Ruby Sales, Linnea Spransy, and Dana Tanamachi.

Workshops: New City Arts hosts free or low-cost community workshops led by Charlottesville area artists who teach community members new creative skills from poetry-writing to needle-felting to shape note singing.
