Leslie M. Scott-Jones
Leslie M. Scott-Jones is an African-American southern woman from Virginia, encompassing all that entails. She studied theater education at VCU and Theatre Administration at Howard University. Leslie has been writing, acting and directing since her teens. The world premiere of Desire Moments, which she wrote, produced and directed, was part of the 2014 Capital Fringe Festival. She has gone on to write several plays, novellas, and short stories which can all be found on Amazon. Book Ends, her first full length novel, hit the shelves Valentine’s Day Weekend 2016. Her play Thirty-Seven was produced by Theatre Alliance in Washington, D.C. in 2021 as part of The Quadrant Series directed by Raymond O. Caldwell the 2023 Zelda Fichandler Award Recipient. She is a graduate of Kennedy Center Director Intensive and a proud member of the Stage Directors & Choreographers Union. Leslie has been active in Charlottesville community theater for fifteen years.
