The Fralin Museum of Art presents Expressing Identity: Works from Summer Studio at The Fralin at Welcome Gallery, featuring works by Zaharra Colla, Katherine Flores, Bryan Guzman, Elise Hatschbach, Katarina Love, Raquel Monroe, Jane Ormsby, Jasmine Gonzalez Rollins, Olivia Trager, Christy Wang, and Molly Woodfin created over the last 6 weeks in The Fralin's new teen studio program centered on drawing strength from identity.

Exhibition Statement
Designed to support the artistic expression of young emerging artists from Charlottesville and surrounding counties, Summer Studio offers high school students a place to develop their unique artistic voice. Using feedback and suggestions gleaned from peer and group discussions, personal storytelling, and cultural experiences — each student has created work that communicates something important about their story, who they are, and what matters most to them. 2021 Summer Studio Teaching Artists include Tori Cherry, Aimee Hunt, Samantha Pagni, Jaison Washington, and Mary Katherine West.
