Exhibition Statement (provided by the artist)

Having a love of all things creative, Brittany Fan enjoys painting, in addition to pursuing freelance photography, doing illustration and lettering, and working in graphic design at Journey Group in downtown Charlottesville. Her show, Taking Breath, is an exploration of nature, light, and color through a series of abstract acrylic paintings. Brittany finds inspiration in the natural world and in the themes of hope, renewal, and restoration.
