Infinite Repeats and New City Arts invite kids and their adults to join us for story time and printmaking with children’s book author, Lulu Miller, on Saturday, December 7 from 10:00-11:00AM at Infinite Repeats. Bring your favorite toy truck to make tire prints! An RSVP is required — learn more and register below!
Lulu Miller is the host of Radiolab and Terrestrials and author of the bestseller,Why Fish Don't Exist. She lived in Charlottesville for nearly a decade, and is excited to be returning to her favorite town to give a reading of her debut children's book, Trucky Roads. Fun for all ages, check out what reviewers are calling a "psychedelic" and "far-out" ride through real and imagined trucks. Lulu gives all credit to her eldest son Jude who invented the character of Trucky Roads.
Kids of all ages are invited to BYOT (Bring Your Own Truck). Following Lulu’s reading, Jeremy Taylor from Infinite Repeats will guide us through a printmaking activity, turning your truck wheels into road track prints for each kid to take home. Ink is water-based. We’ll have a cleaning station set up for kids and their adults to clean the treaded tires, following the activity.
This event is co-hosted by New City Arts at Infinite Repeats (1740 Broadway Street, Charlottesville, VA 22902) during the Holiday Market hosted by Visible Records and Infinite Repeats.
Space is limited and an RSVP is required. To register, fill out this quick form. This event is free. To help cover the cost of materials, a $5 donation per participant is suggested. Make a donation here.
