New City Arts & Crafts Swap | September 2020

In this one-to-one art exchange, kids and local artists will make artwork to send each other in the mail. The Arts & Crafts Swap is now at capacity for both September and October.

How does it work?

  • Each participating kid artist makes a painting, drawing, or collage on paper (8.5x11 inches or smaller). Kids can let their imaginations run wild—the artwork can be abstract or literal.

  • On the back of the finished artwork, or on a separate piece of paper), have the artist trace their hand, write their name and age, and give a short description of their piece (with help if needed).

  • Mail the finished art to your child’s artist partner (we will provide the artist’s name and address after you’ve signed up).

  • Keep an eye on the mail in the coming weeks—the artist will make a drawing, painting, or collage inspired by your child’s piece!
