Making Things with Ryan Trott

You're invited to join us for a workshop with drawing activities, zine-making, and customizing things led by Charlottesville artist Ryan Trott on Wednesday, September 18 from 6-8PM. Space is limited. The cost of this workshop is pay-what-you-can. Learn more and register below.

An image of several painted works by Ryan Trott of "Everyday Objects." There are a number of surrealistic works depicting coffee cups and sink water spouts. One is a foot and another is a guitar.

The workshop will start off with one or two quick drawing activities and zine-making, and move on to customizing bags and shirts with fabric markers and paint. Together, we will look at the “everyday objects” in the exhibit and explore the theme in our own projects.

A canvas bag and drawing materials will be provided. If you would like to customize a t-shirt or other fabric item, bring them along to the workshop.

To register, simply fill out this short form by Monday, September 16. The cost of this workshop is pay-what-you-can.* Donations can be made by cash, check, or card at the workshop. If you have any questions, email Lindsey@newcityarts.org.

*A $10 donation covers the cost of materials for one participant.
