The Maker's Series: Winter 2014

The Garage and New City Arts Initiative present The Maker's Series, which will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 7-9 PM in Meade Hall (located at Christ Episcopal Church, on the corner of 2nd St. and Jefferson St. NW across from McGuffey Park).

A visual graphic by Kaki Dimock of a white deer approaching a leashed green tiger among trees in front of a 4-story building. There is a snake tethering itself between tree branches among other woodland creatures.

Three Charlottesville presenters will be featured — a creative writer, a visual artist and a musician — each showcasing their work and sharing the story of their creative process. The last 30 minutes will be devoted to Q&A. Anne Marie Pace will be the featured creative writer; Kaki Dimock will be the featured visual artist; and Sanders Bohlke will be the musician.

The Maker's Series is meant to be a platform in which artists can present their work on a personal level and then engage in a thoughtful, yet informal conversation with their audience. The event is free and open to the public. Questions? Email Sam Bush.
