Residency Applications Due

The New City Artist-in-Residence program is a five-month residency that provides a local artist with free, downtown studio space and connection to the Charlottesville arts community. Applications for our Spring (March-July) 2017 Artist-in-Residence program are due February 1, 2017, by 11:59PM.

The residency is open to artists of all disciplines (visual artists, writers, musicians, dancers, and filmmakers).

New City Artists-in-Residence are given full, free access to our studio, which is located adjacent to Welcome Gallery and our New City Arts office on the historic Downtown Mall.
