June New City Arts and Crafts

You're invited to New City Arts and Crafts, a monthly drop-in event for parents and kids at Welcome Gallery. This month's event will be held on Wednesday, June 21 from 10am-11am featuring Grit coffee and snacks (for adults and kids), Tattly temporary tattoos (for adults and kids), and an exhibit about our collaborative program with The Haven called Housing2Home.

This month we'll invite kids to draw something that they love about their home on a postcard, which they can add to our current installation featuring a wall painting by Ryan Trott. Kids of all ages are welcome to participate (with or without help!).

New City Arts and Crafts is an opportunity for you to see the exhibit while meeting other families in the community and providing a creative outlet for kids, all over a morning cup of Grit coffee. Staff will be on site, but you are responsible for any guests or children you may bring.

The event is free, but RSVP is required due to limited space. Attendees are welcome to give a suggested donation of $5-$10 at the door or online in advance. To RSVP, email elly@newcityarts.org with the number of adults and kids attending.

New City Arts and Crafts is made possible through an Enriching Communities grant from the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation and is sponsored by Tattly and Grit Coffee.
