Henningham Family Press: Artist Talk and Chip Shop

David and Ping Henningham live and work in Dalston, London. They write essays and poetry that are completed and reworked through fine art printmaking, bookbinding and performance. Collections that have acquired their work include: Victoria & Albert Museum, the Tate, UCL, Chelsea College of Art and UCLA. They have exhibited/performed at Christie's Auction House (Multiplied), Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the British Library, BBC Radio Theatre (The Verb), London Word Festival, Berlin, Ghent, Oslo, Bergen and Indianapolis.

One of their most recent collaborations was a live printing with their good friends, Half-Handed Cloud. One past collaboration with Half-Handed Cloud includes the creation of a 12-foot, rotating vinyl featured in this video.

During their visit in Charlottesville this summer, David and Ping will give an artist talk and live printing performance at Random Row Books. The Chip Shop has been performed at the British Library and the BBC Radio Theatre.

David and Ping met at St Martins School of Art when they were 18. Ping achieved a BA in History of Art at University College London, and her MA in Modernist Literature at Queen Mary, University of London. David obtained his BA at Chelsea College of Art, 2004, and MA at Slade School of Fine Art, 2006. They formed the Henningham Family Press in 2006 to make art together.
