April 2018 New City Arts and Crafts

You're invited to New City Arts and Crafts, our monthly drop-in event for parents and kids at Welcome Gallery. Join us on Wednesday, April 25 from 10am-11am. We'll haveGrit coffee and snacks (for adults and kids), Tattly temporary tattoos (for adults and kids), and a portrait activity inspired by Frank Walker and Jae Jae Johnson's exhibit, Visage.

A young visitor participating in New City Arts & Crafts Day. They are using a gluestick to place colorful cuts of paper onto a white piece of card-stock and have a concentrated look on their face.

10-10:15 AM: Get settled, get coffee, get a snack, and put on a temporary tattoo.

10:15-10:45 AM: Together, we'll do a fun portrait-themed activity.

10:45-11 AM: Circle up for reading time!

We can adapt this activity for ages 2-5, though younger children (including babies) are also welcome to attend.

New City Arts and Crafts is an opportunity for you to see the exhibit while meeting other families in the community and providing a creative outlet for kids, all over a morning cup of Grit coffee. Staff will be on site, but you are responsible for any guests or children you may bring.

RSVP is required due to limited space. Attendees are welcome to give a suggested donation of $5 per child at the door or online in advance to help cover the cost of supplies.

To RSVP, fill out this short form to let us know you're coming!

New City Arts and Crafts is sponsored by Tattly and Grit Coffee
