2017-2018 Residency Applications Due
The New City Artist-in-Residence program is a five-month residency that provides a local artist with free, downtown studio space; a small stipend; and connection to the Charlottesville arts community. Applications for our 2017-2018 Artist-in-Residence program are now closed.
The residency is open to artists of all disciplines (visual artists, writers, musicians, dancers, and filmmakers).
New City Artists-in-Residence are given full, free access to our studio, which is located adjacent to Welcome Gallery and our New City Arts office on the historic Downtown Mall.
