Emily Hagan Lazaro

Emily Hagan Lazaro, a white woman with light blue eyes and dark brown hair styled in a ponytail poses before a gray brick wall with her hands at her sides, smiling. She is wearing a navy blue crew neck tee shirt and silver hoop earrings.

Emily Hagan Lazaro is a local museum educator, currently working with UVA students and community members at The Fralin Museum of Art at the University of Virginia. Prior to that, she worked at the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University, the National Gallery of Art, and the J. Paul Getty Museum, after a stint teaching kindergarten in New York City Public Schools.  Emily believes that works of art are good things to think and talk about in community.

When she’s not teaching in the museum, she’s exploring Charlottesville with her husband and their three young children, re-reading her favorite books, and solving crossword puzzles.
