Jenny Mikulski
Artist Exchange
Drawing, watercolor painting, and crafts were a part of Jenny Mikulski's entire childhood. As an undergraduate she studied at the SMFA in Boston (drawing, painting). Thereafter, art training and experiences included: in-person classes at the Art Students League in NYC and Botanical Illustration at Cornell Plantations. During the pandemic she studied again with the Art Students League online (oil painting and watercolor painting). In 2022, she joined the Virginia Center of the Book and began carving and experimental printmaking. She has a B.A. in English and American Studies from Tufts University and a M.L.A. from Cornell University. By day, she has been a fulltime staff member in academic administrative affairs in UVA's Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost for the past 13 years. She is grateful to have been inspired by artistic friends and family for her entire life, including by her mother and sister, as well artists in the communities of Baltimore, MD (1970-1999), Ithaca, NY (1999-2006) and Charlottesville, VA (2006-2024).
