Daisy Dee is a multidisciplinary artist and illustrator with a particular curiousity for craft and the layered narratives that objects carry. Her work is strongly shaped by the stories imbued in material, the rituals of process, and a love for collaboration, but at its most joyful generation takes the form of some intersection of ceramics, printmaking, and fiber art. She has long been inspired by the history of life and apocalypse found in the fossil record, how the remains of the past evolve into the present and future, and is currently exploring how this plays into more immediate stories of her family and ancestors in Taiwan through art-based creative community workshops developed between Charlottesville and Taipei. Once an art-school drop out, she currently studies ceramics at PVCC and printmaking at UVA.
