The next Charlottesville SOUP will be held in Spring 2020, and tickets will be sold through a ticket lottery. Wondering how the SOUP ticket lottery works? Please read the FAQs below for details.
How many tickets can I request through the lottery?
One or two.
If I request two tickets, do I have to know who my guest is?
Second ticket guest information is required upon request, but you're more than welcome to bring anyone with you. If you aren't sure who you'd like to bring, feel free to reenter your information and email address.
Why does it ask for my credit card information?
If you are selected to attend a SOUP meal, your card will automatically be charged upon your approval. If you are not selected, Universe does not store your credit card information.
Oh no! I received a ticket through the lottery and now I can't attend. What should I do?
We're sad you can't make it! Thanks for letting us know. If you received a ticket (or two) and can no longer attend, send us an email and we'll issue you a refund.
Can I enter the lottery more than once?
You can enter the lottery once and can request up to two tickets.
What if I only want one ticket?
That's totally fine! You can request either one or two tickets.
Why a lottery?
A ticket lottery makes SOUP much more accessible. Previous SOUP meals sold out within minutes and we want to share the event with as many people as possible.
Do I have to enter the lottery online or can I call you?
The lottery is entirely online, but if you're having trouble figuring it out, we're happy to help! Feel free to give us a call at 434-202-5277. No problem.
Is this the only way to get a ticket to a SOUP event?
That's ok! There are a lot of things we don't get, like selfie sticks, flip phones, and decaf coffee. Give us a call and we'll do our best to answer your questions. Our number is 434-202-5277.
Wait, so how do I enter?
Tie ticket lottery for our next event is not open yet. Here's how the lottery works, though: you'll enter the number of tickets you're hoping to get (one or two), your name, email address, and credit card. We'll let you know the day after the lottery ends if you were randomly chosen to purchase a ticket or not.
