Maureen Brondyke is the Executive Director of New City Arts Initiative.
Since joining the New City Arts staff in 2010, Maureen has worked with New City Arts staff, board, volunteers, artists in residence, interns and partners to support local artists and cultivate new audiences for the arts, specifically among local churches. Maureen plans and manages New City Arts programs including conferences, exhibitions, residencies, and events. In addition to programs, she oversees development, accounting, strategic partnerships, communication, and marketing for New City Arts. The Press section features interviews and highlights of the organization’s work since 2010.
A University of Virginia alumna (BFA in Studio Art), Maureen has served on various Charlottesville committees at the University and in the community to strategically advance the arts locally. She’s worked as a conference assistant for Bifrost Arts and the International Arts Movement and was selected as a Doing Good Well (CIVA) participant. As a printmaker, Maureen makes drawings, paper cuts, and relief prints.
