As Communications/Community Programs Manager, Lindsey provides organizational support, leads communications/marketing for programs, and oversees community programs for New City Arts.
Lindsey oversees New City’s creative placemaking partnership with The Haven (Housing2Home), promoting housing stability through creative interventions; organizes Charlottesville SOUP; provides event support; manages New City’s communication calendar and program marketing; and works closely with the Executive Director to support development.
Before joining the New City Arts staff, Lindsey was a marketing and communications manager for a Charlottesville-based sustainable foods startup. Lindsey has also worked as a Program Assistant for Breakthrough Urban Ministries in Chicago’s East Garfield Park. She holds a BA in Religion from Mary Baldwin College.
In her free time, she’s likely to be found writing, baking, or walking in the woods with her husband, Jordan, and toddler, Ruby Day.
