From May 1-May 27, 2015, New City Arts presents New Sincerity, an exhibit by Charlottesville artist Victoria Long at The WVTF and Radio IQ Studio Gallery.
Victoria’s new work includes marker drawings and banners exploring repetition and limitation. Her current work is inspired by Howard Finster, Sister Corita, and the Gutai Art Association.
In Charlottesville, Victoria has exhibited at The Garage and The Bridge Progressive Arts Initiative. She has also previously participated in group exhibits at On Reading (Nagoya, Japan), at Open Space (Baltimore), at Space 1026 (Philadelphia) and at Secret Project Robot (Brooklyn). Victoria was a 2012-2013 New City Arts artist-in-residence at The Haven and practices letterpress printing at the Virginia Arts of the Book Center, a program of the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities.
Presented by New City Arts, NPR, WVTF and Radio IQ, our exhibit opening is sponsored by Feast! and Monticello Wine Company.
