On Friday, December 7, 2012, join us for an art auction, pop up shop, and open studio to benefit The Haven, a safe and welcoming day shelter for the homeless and very poor of Central Virginia in downtown Charlottesville. There will be art for auction and homemade goods (like knitted items, jewelry, jam, etc.) for sale. The NCAI and Haven artists in residence will open their studio on the second floor of The Haven throughout the event.
Participating artists (of work for auction and those wonderful homemade goods) include Hannah Barefoot, Josef Beery, Patrick Costello, Kaki Dimock, Laurel Denise, Tara Montgomery, Matt Pamer, and many many more (including our resident artists).
Doors, studios, and the pop up shop open at 5:30PM. Silent auction begins at 6PM and ends at 7:30PM. Pop up shop and studios close at 8PM.
This event is $20 at the door. Heavy hors d'oeuvres (made in the Haven kitchen) and drinks will be served all evening. Many thanks to The Haven Art Auction sponsors-- United Bank and Brown Automotive Group -- for making this event possible.
New City Arts is partnering with The Haven for this auction as our First Friday event. (Note: there will be no exhibit opening reception at the WVTF and Radio IQ Studio Gallery in December).
